Notes from the Site Manager
Throughout these documents, Book Titles and emphasis by the author appear as bolded text. The appearance of "sections" within the documents are the result of trying to keep the file sizes small(er) to decrease loading times. These sections are generally determined (in regards to flow and/or from obvious breaks in the text) by the Site Manager, not the Author.
All texts within Illuminations are (to the best of my knowledge) "CopyLeft." Feel free to download, print, and/or distribute these texts; however, they may not be reprinted nor sold for profit without the express written consent from the author and/or Illuminations. If you decide to download an article or piece of text, please contact the Site Manager and/or the author. This is simply a courtesy request to "hear from" our audience. Thanks.

Illuminations was conceived in April of '96. Douglas Kellner visited the UTA campus as a guest speaker for the Arlington Humanities Colloquium and invited Douglas Brown to build the Illuminations site. In January of '97, Douglas Brown received a job at ABC as their WebMaster and moved to NYC. Consequently, I need to extend a special thanks to Douglas for turning over maintenance of the site to me, and giving me the chance to work with Dr. Kellner whom I also got to know through his visits to UTA. I would also like to thank Dr. Victor J. Vitanza and Dean Ben Agger for creating the environment for a project like this to be born, and David Rieder for his encouragement and tips.
